Brazil expansion

Control Quality becomes a CIS company and continuous to support the International agri-commodity industry with high quality T.I.C. services in Brazil.

In August this year the shareholder of CIS Commodity Inspection Services, QIMA,  has acquired Brazilian company Control Quality, further expanding its international presence in the agri-commodity industry.

QIMA is a global TIC player focusing on food, life sciences and consumer product markets. In 2022 QIMA made its first step in the agri-commodities industry by the acquisition of the Dutch company Commodity Inspection Services (CIS), a prominent leader in the global industry. By doing so QIMA expanded the footprint of its global food division. The merger, combining QIMA's understanding of global compliance requirements and wide range of skilled inspectors, enabled a tremendous and effective effort in digital Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services to the agrifood-commodity industry. Agri-commodity inspections are part of QIMA’s food division, and all operations are managed under the name of CIS Commodity Inspection Services (CIS), acknowledging and respecting the strong reputation and history of CIS in the global commodities industry.

The latest partnership between Control Quality in Brazil further expands the global network of CIS into one of the most important countries in the agricultural sector, worldwide. This development empowers CIS to serve international clients engaged in trading activities to and from Brazil. With the addition of new offices in all relevant ports in Brazil, CIS helps ensure a seamless supply chain, benefiting its valued clients and consumers around the world. Besides, it enables the possibility to strengthen our position on the domestic market in Brazil by branching out to new ports and implementing best practices and new digital solutions within the Brazilian operations.

“CIS welcomes Control Quality to this groundbreaking partnership, and together, we embark on a new phase of growth & efficiency,” says Martijn Sinke, COO CIS. “The companies' shared commitment to accuracy, flexibility, 24/7 availability and proactive support grows to a level unmatched in the industry and will enable us to strengthen our positions on both the domestic and International market.”

In the words of Junior Lopes, CCO of Control Quality, "Our shared enthusiasm for this collaboration stems from the recognition that together, we can achieve more than we could independently. The decision to join forces with CIS was guided by the belief that their profound knowledge of the international agrifood-commodity market, coupled with our in-depth understanding of the Brazilian market, creates a powerful synergy that will propel both entities to new heights towards creating unparalleled value for our clients and stakeholders. This merger is not just about expanding our reach; it's about creating a collective force that is greater than the sum of its parts."

Control Quality  Ltda will continue to work under their own brand, both domestically and as part of the global CIS network. Both the name and the company logo of Control Quality will reflect their involvement within the global CIS network by stating “a CIS company”.
