On January 11^th of 2017 The South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS has implemented a Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) programme to protect South Sudanese consumers and their environment, assure product conformity to the applicable national and international standards, and arrange swift custom checks and release of the certified goods. 

 

CIS are pleased to announce that on the 3^rd of February 2021 The South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) based at Juba, Republic of South Sudan has authorized CIS Commodity Inspection Services, headquartered at Berkel en Rodenrijs, The Netherlands to test, inspect and verify conformity of all goods

Intended to be shipped to South Sudan as per SSNBS standards and or International standards. Upon completion of a succesful verification of conformity, CIS shall issue a Certificate of Conformity which needs to be presented for Customs clearance upon arrival at all entry points at the Replublic of South Sudan.

 

Scope of inspection comprises:

• Pre-shipment inspection
• Supervision during stuffing / loading
• Sampling
• Analysis at ISO 17025 accredited Laboratory
• Issuance of final Certificate of Conformity
