FERTILISER INSPECTIONS

In today's global business environment consumers, producers, international traders, aid and purchasing organisations are increasingly relying on an independent inspection of their shipments to ensure that supplier's contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Cargo supervision allows the interested party, without physically attending, to have reliable knowledge that the quality, quantity, packing and marking are being inspected and conform to contractual specifications. We ensure that the final settlement for a cargo represents the true value with regard to quality and quantity in accordance with the agreed contract conditions.

We offer a flexible and yet consistent service. We aim to provide this by adapting and aligning our standard services to the requirements of each client on a job-by-job basis.

A service portfolio may include the following services:

  • • Inspection and acceptance of ship holds, hatch covers

  • • Supervision throughout loading/discharging

  • • Supervision of transshipment

  • • Establishment of intaken/outturn weight by means of draught-survey

  • • Sampling and sealing

  • • Conducting neutral analysis

  • • Temperature control

  • • Check of packing and marking

  • • Check of bags weight at random

  • • Photographic report

  • • Certification of quality, quantity & condition

Once we know client's exact requirements we can develop a service tailored to those needs anywhere in the world. We will then depute one of our local fertilizer experts to represent the client's interests at loading, discharge or transshipment and provide rapid reporting of all activities related to the cargo.

If you have the right to choose an inspection company of your choice, the solution of the prevention of problems or claims is to call for an inspection certificate issued by Commodity Inspection Services BV to be provided in the letter of credit terms. The satisfactory inspection certificate can than be used in conjunction with other shipping documents to negotiate payments.
